Joseph Leto's artistic talent started young, when at three years old his mother was amazed that he actually drew the bird that was perched outside their window sill!
Leto's artistic training moved up through the Art institute of Boston, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. He earned his living as an international award winning Artist and a Certified Professional Photographer.
He boarded assorted local and national professional artist and photographer's associations where he attained numerous ribbons, awards, and recognition.
His client base comprised many Homes, Fortune 500 companies, up to and included the White House. He also retained many highly recognizable political figures, sports personalities, professional musicians, and movie stars. His art and photography have been seen around the world in many homes, businesses, trade publications, magazines, and ads.
Joseph copiously studied the Old Master techniques and their history. His favorite Dutch and Italian School styles oriented him into the famous Boston School Tradition with which he still studies and works with other tradionalists' today.
Leto's current practices in both mediums involve the Classical Realism style, Abstract Representation, and alternative concepts. His artwork is inspired by a collection of classicalism, modern reflection, or exploiting a more creative dimension with a degree of textural perspective which displays a more personal perception.
"A true artist's job is to present you a story, or a theme from their life thoughts, dreams, or journeys.
The reason a piece has stirred you is because you have shared those same thoughts, and dreams.
You remember and value them. You want to provoke others to feel those same emotions. You're sharing! That 'Genius Loci'.
My stories are presented honestly and factual. You may find an appreciation after you spend a few moments focusing on a piece."
